Bob's legal practice is in the areas of intellectual property law and business law. Bob is technically trained in chemistry, mathematics and software, receiving a BA in Chemistry with a minor in mathematics from St. Anselm's, College in 1973, obtained an MBA degree from Rivier College in 1981, and his J.D. from Franklin Pierce Law Center in 1995 (now known as The University of New Hampshire School of Law). He is a member of the NH bar and a registered Patent Attorney with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. Since becoming an attorney, Bob has been a member of the NH Bar Association, the Intellectual Property Section and the Business Law Section of the NH Bar, the American Bar Association and its Intellectual Property and Business Law Section, and the American Intellectual Property Law Association. Bob has written and prosecuted many patent applications in various technical areas including chemical, mechanical, software, and bio-technology. Before joining Mesmer Law Offices in 1995, Bob served as General Manager for a small, high technology firm. Bob is currently an Adjunct Professor of Law in the Patent Program at The University of New Hampshire School of Law (f/k/a Franklin Pierce Law Center). Bob brings a unique combination of business and technical experience to the practice of law.
